The Association's main objective is to bring together professional journalists specialised in scientific and technical information.
The Association aims to:
- ensure that the principle of free access to scientific information is respected;
- promote better scientific information;
- take action to ensure that the place of scientific information in the generalist media is recognised;
- promote the best possible collaboration between researchers and journalists;
- take action to ensure that public and private research organisations and companies respond positively to the information needs of journalists;
- take initiatives to help its members carry out their professional work;
- participate in international unions of scientific journalists and collaborate with analogous foreign associations.
